Partners in Kindness

This December, Eli’s Childhood Cancer Foundation, Phoebe Rose Rocks, and Kindred Foundation are partnering to raise funds for childhood cancer research and to fund a special family-support program.  Every dollar raised will go towards funding pediatric oncology research in 2024 and will also bring joy to childhood cancer families through the Family Support Package program.

The Family Support Package program was started by the Phoebe Rose Rocks Foundation and provides $350 worth of gift cards to help families with the cost of gas, food, and other expenses when their child is in cancer treatment.  The Family Support Package is provided to families through their Social Worker or Resource Navigator at their local hospital and the program is now run by Kindred Foundation.

Eli’s Childhood Cancer Foundation, Phoebe Rose Rocks, and Kindred Foundation are all committed to funding childhood cancer research.  The funds raised will support a 2024 100% Fund childhood cancer research grant in partnership with the C17 Council.  The 100% Fund grants focus on pediatric and adolescent cancers that are hard to cure — cancers that have not responded to available therapies. The goal is to fund research with the potential to deliver improved treatments for these difficult childhood cancers.

This December, for every $700 raised, $350 will provide a Family Support Package to a Canadian childhood cancer family who is currently in treatment, and $350 will fund childhood cancer research.

Every dollar raised will go towards the Support Package program and funding research with the 100% Fund in 2024.
